about mill showcase

Mill Showcase publishes the creative outpourings of students from Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland.

People tend to perform better when they have a wider audience for their work. Our students continually produce aesthetic experiences that can be appreciated by anyone. Showcasing their talents encourages them to become contributors to an increasingly global and technological society.

Both multimedia and multidisciplinary, Mill Showcase draws from classes and clubs around our building and across our curriculum. Anything that can be digitized in some form — writing, artwork, music, sculpture, dance, song, architectural drawings, drama, posters, even culinary recipes — is fair game for our showcase. Quality work is nominated by teachers.

Students and their parents/guardians sign release forms allowing their work to appear online. Students retain all rights to their own intellectual property. Please respect their copyright.

Questions can be addressed to the OMHS webmaster.

Great site for the students! Please keep me abreast; as Community Development Organizer for Oakland Mills, I need to get this out to the community! The community truly needs to know MORE about the artistry of the students!
